Description
Land reform and the related transformation of the agricultural sector have been a major focus of the agricultural sector over the last two decades. Since managing the Land Reform Pilot Project in KwaZulu-Natal , in 1995, Lima has actively been involved in many aspects of land reform and post settlement support. Lima remains at the forefront of development methodologies, institutional reform, training and support. Lima 's support activities include beneficiary verification, community consultation, business planning, democratisation, investor mobilisation, improved governance and transparency.

Training and support is provided in office administration, agricultural training and farm management. Farm management models include settlement of independent farmers, community settlement, joint venture partnerships, lease arrangements, and farm worker equity share models.

Impacts
In 2010, Lima provided support to 15 different projects on farm land valued at over R 400 million and throughout the process of support have secured positions for over 2 000 farm workers.

  • Limpopo : Hoedspruit
  • Mpumalanga : Bush Buck Ridge , Nkomazi and Hazyview.
